I have heard it said that Jesus was a cowboy. Of course He was born in a barn. And well we do know that His Father is rancher because He owns the cattle on a thousand Hills. And we do know that when He returns to earth He will be riding a white horse. The question is will you be riding with Him? Are you part of His outfit? He isn’t concerned with what you look like or what you ride. He is interested in your life and your heart. We have all been through the aches and pains of life. Have you lost a loved one or been treated wrong by someone you looked up too? Had a bad day or a really bad year? Done some wrong things and now you feel it is too late? Have you come to the end of your rope? Are you just sure that you will never measure up? Then you know what? You are exactly the one Jesus died for. You see He loves a broken heart. The one who realizes their life is a mess and they have made wrong choices. The one who is now broken and bleeding and really hurting. He is waiting to put it all back together right. We can’t live for Him as long as we think we are the ones in control. It is only after we give up and surrender at His feet that things change. And change they will. There may still be troubles and things may still be hard at times. But there will be peace, and you will never be alone. Never again. Have you walked down your own road long enough? It is time to take a walk with Jesus, His way. It really is very simple, just say, “yes, yes Lord I give, I am tired of trying to do this on my own. I know I have messed up and taken the wrong road, the one where I am in control instead of you. Please Jesus, I give my life to you, and I ask you to be in control. Take me down your road, let me walk with you. Remind me of your presence daily. Teach me to follow you. Fill me with your love and let my life shine for you.” Then tell him, “Thank you”.
